
Okay, maybe that’s twisting the statistics a little. But these figures in the Guardian go some way to showing just how important the design of wine is to the wine-buying public.
Women choose and buy eight out of every 10 bottles of wine that are drunk at home, according to figures out today. […] When it comes to choosing wines, women said they were driven mainly by price (74%), followed by the type of grape (64%), the country of origin (55%) and more superficial trappings such as the label (42%).
